Cross-border e-commerce offers significant opportunities, but Peruvian companies faced major barriers to expanding into the U.S. market due to a lack of understanding of key regulations. The challenge was to train a group of 45 export companies (in the retail sector) that, although they had commercial potential, lacked the legal and tax structure necessary to operate directly in the U.S.

An online specialized training program was designed and delivered, consisting of three intensive technical modules focused on the practical application of business entity formation (LLC vs. C-Corp), trademark protection, USPTO registration, intellectual property defense, and its critical importance for sales on platforms such as Amazon, as well as tax management.

This project fulfilled the public objective of strengthening the technical and legal capabilities of exporting companies engaged in cross-border e-commerce. By removing information barriers related to incorporation, trademarks, and taxes, it paved the way for Peruvian companies to develop robust, secure, and scalable business operations in the competitive U.S. market.
