CHALLENGE
Mincetur sought to address the gaps in logistics management and customs operations that were preventing 23 organizations in the yarn supply chain in Puno from consolidating their shipments abroad. The companies had widely varying levels of expertise, which made it difficult to plan their exports and efficiently manage logistics costs for demanding markets such as the United States.
SOLUTION
The project included specialized training in logistics and customs operations, as well as personalized assistance in developing cost structures.
RESULTS
The implementation of this service made it possible to achieve the program’s main objective: to strengthen the integration of alpaca products into the international market. Trade Training Peru provided organizations with the practical skills needed to manage efficient logistics for shipping products to the U.S. market.
